Clothes Made on Demand

How would you like, if all your future clothes were made personally for you, produced only from natural materials and lasted years of wear?

We believe that this is possible with a little bit of hard work and endeavour to improve on our side, and on your side a confidence in a young brand. Nothing is more rewarding for us, then seeing you, our satisfied customer, wearing one of our designs.

Sustainable and Slow Fashion

As a slow fashion brand we aim to create only one or two collections per year to limit the overproduction of stock and only produce small quantities of each item, or a unique, one-of-a-kind piece designed just for you.

At VIMPELOVA, s
ustainability is a norm, a commitment, a strategy in every step. We can' t imagine designing and creating our clothing any other way. Because we love nature and hate waste, we chose to work with natural textiles. You know... the ones everyone loves for their soft comforting feel on our body - our favourites are cotton, linen, silk wool and Tencel.
Let's join forces and together diminish the amount of clothes composed of
petrol based materials we have in our wardrobes.

Oh, and one more thing... most of our natural fabrics are sourced from organic certified production. such as GOTS. And in case we choose to go for dead stock fabrics, we will make sure to be transparent about it.

Craftsmanship and Traditions

Each and every one of our designs is sewn in our studio in high-end and flawless finish. We add on a unique details which make a piece one-of-a-kind.  We like to take inspiration in our grandparents wardrobes and their timeless garments, so we design for longevity,
not for
disposal.
The Czech heritage rooted in craftsmanship is evoking echoes
of a distant past wrapped in the story of VIMPELOVA label.

Veronika Vimpelova

Founder & Designer
Veronika is a Brussels based fashion designer originally hailing from the Czech Republic. These roots can be traced through the effortless combination of ancestral tradition and contemporary innovation in her work. Veronika was inspired to carve a path in the fashion industry by her grandmother, who ran her own bespoke studio in the former Czechoslovakia. In light of her talent and aspirations, she studied for a degree in fashion design at ESDEMGA, at the University of Vigo in Spain.

Veronika was selected to showcase her graduate collection at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Madrid in 2014. This was followed by the opportunity to complete her professional training in London, at the womenswear department of McQ Alexander McQueen. Working with McQ enhanced her skill for detail and gave her a unique education in the steps required to create a collection, leading to the launch of VIMPELOVA brand.

Amy Grosse

Assistant Designer Trainee
Amy joined VIMPELOVA in October 2020. She assists Veronika with the planning of the upcoming collection, drafting patterns, making toiles, sourcing fabrics and promoting the VIMPELOVA label via social media.

She has been interested in fashion since her mother taught her how to sew at age 13.  In 2017, Amy took a decisive step toward pursuing a career in slow fashion by interning with TATAMY - a brand of children’s clothing and accessories created locally using Oeko-Tex fabrics. Afterwards, she pursued a degree in Fashion Design at SYNTRA Brussels. She showed her 1st year collection at the Brussels Fashion Days 2019, which was the highlight of her year.

Challenged four years ago by a close friend to “not buy anything new,” Amy took a heartfelt approach to live more sustainably while striving to be an ethical citizen. She actively encourages her family to make conscious decisions in their daily lives.  Her New Year’s resolutions for 2021 are to buy locally, favour organic products and to buy in bulk thus avoiding wasteful packaging.

Amy speaks English, French and Dutch on a daily basis. She also enjoys speaking in Italian, Spanish and German.

She had documented her personal collections as well as additional projects related to sustainable fashion on Instagram at: @amygrosse_creations. Her full bio is available on LinkedIn
