Our Women's Measurement Guide

Here you will find few tips on how to take your body and a garment measurements.
We want your clothes to feel comfortable, so no need to pull your tape measure too tight. Try to take your actual body measurements rather than measuring over your clothes. It is often easier to have a friend help you take measurements.
FEMALE BODY MEASUREMENTS

Picture

BUST CIRCUMFERENCE

Place the measuring tape around your body over the fullest part of your bust, making sure the tape is sitting well under your arms and spans your shoulder blades. For better accuracy measure over a bra you intend to wear with the given dress or top.

WAIST CIRCUMFERENCE

Measure around the slimmest part of your natural waistline - generally the point where your body creases when you bend slightly forwards or where you find it most comfortable to wear your waistbands.

HIPS CIRCUMFERENCE

Standing with your feet together, measure around your hips at the widest point - usually over your bottom or at the top of your thighs - and approximately 20cm (8in) below your natural waistline.

SHOULDER WIDTH

Measure in a slightly curved line from one edge of your shoulder (your shoulder bone point or where a fitted sleeve seam would be) through the base of your  back neck to  the other shoulder edge.

SLEEVE LENGTH

Bend your elbow 45 degrees. Measure from the shoulder down through the back of your elbow and finish at the wrist bone. Be careful not to measure too high above the wrist or the sleeves will be too short.

CENTRE BACK LENGTH

Measure from your back neck base (the prominent point of your 7th vertebrae ) to the waist line.

RISE MEASUREMENT

Tie a cord or a ribbon around your natural waist and sit straight on a flat sturdy chair or a table. Now measure vertically from your waist to the chair (table) surface.

INNER LEG LENGTH

Measure from the top of your inside leg at the crotch to your ankle.  For flow length trousers refer to the outer leg length below.

OUTER LEG LENGTH

Measure on the side from your natural waistline to your ankle. If you want your trousers hit the floor,  measure waist all the way to the floor while wearing the shoes you intend to wear with the trousers or skirt.
